Our Multi-Category Vendor Passport: Marketing All Parts Your Business

Many wedding vendors offer more than just one category specifically. As a matter fact over 50% of vendors I have worked with combine two or three categories into one business. Lets take for example a Wedding Planner that also provides Florals. How about a Photographer that also offers Beauty services like Makeup and Hair Styling (this is me!) Couples want do it all vendors. Like this bride to be: “Would love a DJ that also has a Photobooth (and smoke machine)” or this one- “Looking for a wedding venue that can also host the rehearsal dinner, outside, under a tent” or this one “a photographer that also can do drone footage (videographer); or “A DJ that is also a Bartender”. The list goes on.

Traditional vendor search on most platforms is set up to search by categories, as I wrote about in my post about Characteristics. This makes it very difficult to find “do it all” Vendors. Additionally, it costs mega bucks to advertise in multi-categories. So vendors are left to decide which category to pay for and then try to make it clear on their vendor page that they also offer additional categories of services. But what about the great Photographer that is also an amazing Hair and Makeup artist? Which category does she put her hard earned money into- and wouldn’t it be great if she could advertise it all in one listing?

I had big dreams creating Most Perfect Match, which is why it has taken nearly two years to fully complete. I am a multi-service vendor.
